Funeral Hearse

Cremation have become the most popular option for funerals today. Many individuals opt for a ceremony at the crematorium, utilizing their chapel, but it is also possible to hold the service at a church or another venue of your choice before the cremation takes place.

The choice of whether to have a religious or non-religious ceremony is entirely yours. A religious service will be led by an ordained minister or clergy member from a specific faith, while a non-religious ceremony can be officiated by a civil celebrant or a representative from the humanist society.

R.Brownless and Grandson are here to assist you in arranging whichever type of service you prefer.

What happens during a cremation service?

At a cremation service, mourners may choose to gather outside to await the arrival of the hearse.

Typically, a cremation service lasts between 20 to 30 minutes unless additional time has been requested. The service may include a selection of hymns or meaningful non-religious songs, as well as eulogies and readings. At the conclusion of the service, the coffin is often concealed from view, allowing mourners to pay their final respects before the cremation takes place.

Most crematoriums can return a loved one’s ashes within one working day of the cremation, and in some cases, even on the same day. At this point, you may want to consider how you’d like to handle the ashes, with various options available for you to explore,  some ideas you might like to consider are available here.
